Ashley does not talk about her parents but her grandmother, who was an infamous bodybuilder during the 30s and 20s was credited with instilling her fitness passion. Ashley was active physically from a young age. She started swimming lessons at four years old, and continued for 10 more. It is believed that Ashley competed in various events.
